The Western Market is a four day event held during the Strathmore Stampede. If accepted, you will be sent a formal contract that must be returned by the given deadline.
TYPES OF VENDORS ACCEPTED
At the Strathmore Stampede Market, we are proud to celebrate the spirit of the West. To maintain the authenticity and charm of our Western Market theme, we are looking for vendors whose offerings reflect western culture and craftsmanship. Successful applicants will typically sell:
Western apparel and accessories
Artisanal goods
Vintage items and consignment treasures
Locally sourced or locally designed products
Unique, one-of-a-kind items and products made by the vendor themselves
Packaged food and drink items (jams, honey, etc.)
Please note, we are not accepting tradeshow-style vendors, including those selling items like massage chairs or multi-level marketing products. Additionally, we do not accept alcohol vendors (including distilleries), commercial items unrelated to the western theme, or food trucks.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours of Operation
All vendors must be able to operate during the set hours of the Strathmore Stampede. There will be absolutely no exceptions to these operating times.
Friday - 11:00am to 10:00pm
Saturday - 11:00am to 10:00pm
Sunday - 11:00am to 10:00pm
Monday - 11:00am to 6:00pm
Bookings
To apply, please complete the vendor application (located above - open in early 2026). All application forms will be reviewed by the Strathmore Stampede Market Coordinator and staff. If accepted, the vendor will be contacted with a formal contract. Applications that are not filled out completely will not be considered.
If selected, vendor must pay a deposit within two weeks of invoicing; failure to provide payment will forfeit their spot for the next vendor.
The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society has the right to determine who attends the Strathmore Stampede.
Set-Up & Tear-Down:
Set up is Thursday, July 30th, 2026. Outdoor market vendors may begin to set-up between 8am-2pm. Indoor market vendors may begin to set-up between 1pm-8pm.
The Indoor Market is located in the AG Pavilion building. The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society will decide on where vendors are located inside this building for the duration of the event.
The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society will decided on where Outdoor vendors are located for the duration of the event.
Tear down is after 6:00pm on Monday, August 3rd, 2026. Market vendors are not permitted to begin tear down prior to this time.
Power is an additional fee - no adaptors or cords will be provided by the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society. The contract will state what is available. Please note; Outdoor Market Vendors will not be able to purchase power on site during the event. Please ensure power requirements are indicated on the application.
Public Liability Insurance
Vendors must provide proof of at least $2,000,000 public liability insurance.
A copy of an insurance certificate, naming the Strathmore & District Agricultural Society as an insured third party. This must be sent with your signed agreement package.
No alcohol sales are permitted.
